overall personality: odette is a very talkative girl, if she knows you. she could talk for hours and still have a load she wants to say. if she knows you, however, she tends to keep her mouth shut but that's okay. she likes to talk a lot and will easily be the person to get the conversation going when there's awkwardness between people. and she'll keep the conversation going until she thinks that there's no more point in doing so. she loves talking though, it's kind of like a stress reliever for her. and her parents always make fun of her for that, seeing as they know when she walks in as she's either talking to a friend or she's talking on the phone. it's kind of her thing to just talk. she's quite nosy and likes to know what's going on with what. if someone is discussing something in front of her she'll ask questions and manipulate the questions so people answer without even realizing that she's prying into their business. she just doesn't like to be in the dust, and if she has to find a creative way to get to know things then she will. this is also another trait that her father possesses, and she makes fun of him because of it, when really she also does the same thing. and she doesn't really know that she's manipulating questions or trying to know what people are talking about. it's a subconscious thing for her, and she usually doesn't even know she's doing it. she's a smart girl for her age, especially when it comes to science courses. things just naturally click for her, which is crazy because her mom did drugs while she was pregnant with her, but whatever. and she never really struggled with math either. she always knew she was smart though, ever since she could remember. she's always the girl who people ask for help from, and even her old crush in middle school asked but nothing happened. she was quite disappointed. so for now she hides behind the books becuase she doesn't really want to fall in love anyways. so yes.

overall history: when odette's parents met they didn't know each other. in fact, they had never even laid eyes on one other. it was just some fluke, seeing as someone had spilled coffee on her clothes and he happened to be by the napkins at the time. then they hit it off, just like it was expected. everyone could tell that they had such feelings for each other and they didn't have to know either one of them. or, at least that's how odette always imagined it. that's how her mother tells it, but her mother's always been one for fairy tales. her father tells it differently, but every time he gives out a different story, so she's not sure which one she should believe.

but nonetheless, her parents were married, and it was only because her mother was pregnant with her. in fact, if she wasn't pregnant they probably would have broken up soon. but they girtted their teeth and tried with odette, and once she was born on january 5th it just got worse really. her parents were always either fighting or working, not really spending any time with their daughter. and when they were fighting they were drinking, and when they were drinking they would make up, if you get my drift. and that's how her sister was born. so really, they were both accidents, but whatever, odette is grateful for her sister.

and growing up all she remembers is fighting and alcohol bottles littering her kitchen. and they weren't really poor, so this was a lot of bottles. but, it was always her who had to clean up, and she didn't mind. at least it gave her something to do right? right. and then as she got older she started to get prettier, which made her that much more shy when guys started to notice her after a billion years. and then when she graduated high school she moved out of her parents house, not wanting to really be around them. and her sister went with her. but seeing as she couldn't afford to live by herself and then joined a band and that's where she's at today. so woo.
