overall personality: jester is probably one of the most laid back people that anyone will ever meet. he's extremely kind, often putting others ahead of him, and making sure that everyone else is happy before he is. sometimes he's very quiet, a little bit shy before he actually opens up to people. however, once he has opened up, his personality it much like his name; he's a joker. jester likes to pull little pranks on his friends, and especially his older brother, masking it up with a smile. also, he's a very innocent kid; he doesn't drink or smoke, or even do any kind of drugs! he's a bit of a bore, some people might say. sometimes people take advantage of him because he's a bit of a pushover, he's also very naive, which is a great flaw of his. some may say that jester is a "wimp", as well. but, he's usually the kid that will flash a smile and cause people to swoon over him and his child-like charms; he's jailbait.

this boy is afraid of blood because of something that happened in his past. he is easily frightened by many things, and sometimes he'll randomly start hyperventilating. he suffers from trauma and night terrors, which make him seem a bit strange and uncomfortable from time to time. however, jester is an extremely upbeat person. he has the playful mind of a child, and he can be a bit strange. he's an insomniac, so he's sometimes tired, but when he gets some sleep he's even more energetic than usual.

overall history: one a cold day in december, the kim family welcomed a beautiful baby boy named jester. they're a family of korean-canadian's, his father's parents moving there when he was about five, and his mother's family immigrated to canada in her great-grandparents' time. jester lived most of his life in toronto, ontario. however, when he was twelve, his family moved to a small town in the united states called norton shores. that would basically be the beginning of the rest of his life.

jester had joined a band, having played the guitar since the age of eight, when his grandfather had bought it for him. his grandfather was the most important person in his life, teaching him a lot of things about how he should be as a person; they were very close. this may have been because his grandfather lived with them after his grandmother had passed away when jester was about four years old. therefore, he had basically lived with his family most of his life, so they were very close to one another. when jerster was fourteen, he and his grandfather were in a horrible car accident; his grandfather died instantly. jester remembered being conscious, seeing the blood on his grandfather from the crushed glass, as well as seeing the blood from his own hair and other places on his body; this left him with a horrible fear of blood, as well as the cause of his night terrors and insomnia.

music became a huge part of his life, and jester gave most of his time to the band when he had recovered from his time in the hospital where they were watching to make sure he didn't have brain damage. he was extremely lucky that this hadn't happened to him. the boy treated music as his drug, it being the main ingredient to his grieving process. jester blames himself for the death of his grandfather, never fully forgiving himself for the accident, even though it had absolutely nothing to do with him, but a drunk driver. still, music has been his biggest love since that incident, and his brother helped him through it a lot, so they're really close. jester's older brother is currently the most important person in his life, and that probably won't change for a while; that's also the only person that knows about his secrets.
