overall personality: Ashton, or as he likes to be called Ash has quite the imagination. He loves to pull pranks on people, even enough to get him a night or two in jail. The police obviously didn’t want to deal with his ‘obnoxious teenage actions’, but he just hates them in return. Sarcasm? Well, he’s thrown that into his vocabulary more than once. It’s often what gets him in trouble with older adults and authority figures. Doctors included. Like the police, they just thought of him as a dumb kid that just didn’t want to play by the rules, so often didn’t get along with him. The only people that he hates more than doctors and policemen are Psychiatrists. Once his parents put him in the hands of Dr. Graven, his dislike was more than obvious. No matter what his parents thought of him, he still wasn’t going ever trust or believe what the doctor was saying. All that was was illusions and bribery.

Music was always his first love. How it changed his life and gave it meaning. So his work should only be with that in mind. Playing guitar just seemed to come naturally to Ash (not that he didn’t have to work for it). Screaming was another form of expression that he found he loved. Singing really wasn’t his forte, but found that he was easily accepted for his talents in Drops of Jupiter. Skateboarding was a form of transportation and activity that Ash learned as a kid. Of course it’s still etched into his DNA, even while in the music business. Another thing that attached to him was his way with girls. Teasing was very amusing with girls, like hanging a carrot in front of a donkey. Yet he isn’t completely rude with women. It seemed more like the female gender couldn’t ever make up their mind with who they liked more. The ex-girlfriend was enough proof.

overall history: It all started out with the meeting of Beverly and Richard Mason. Coincidentally, they met on a business trip. Beverly was the new member of Richard’s crew and found that they had a lot in common. At first their relationship was frowned upon by their boss, but being good friends with everyone on the team, it was kept a secret. After a few years, they broke off from the business and started their own. It was shaky at first, but their success bloomed immensely. During this process, Zach Peter Mason was born. Starting out as the first child, he was spoiled. Not-so-lucky for him, Ashton Porter Mason came into the world. Now their attention shifted awkwardly between the two brothers. However, Zach didn’t like the fact that he wasn’t the center of attention anymore. So they fought almost 24/7 with each other. Running a business and having two boys that fought was building up stress for Beverly and Richard. They began deviling into their work more and more, leaving the babysitter to watch over them most of the day, until they reach school. At about 3rd grade, a new person joined the family, Veronica Juliet Mason. As weird as it was for Ashton to adjust to a new and younger sibling, they got along fine. When Veronica would be pestered by Zach, Ashton would be the one to protect her. As the years went on and Ash became more independent, his curiosity started to grow. The people he hung out with started to slowly change. From there he was the ‘rebellious’ child. Pulling pranks and causing all kinds of mayhem, while not even caring what people thought of him. It was about a few weeks after Ashton turned 18, when his buddies thought it would be funny to graffiti the side of city hall. Aston was up for the idea, buying the spray paint and meeting them at a rendezvous point. Then as his friends were tagging the place, a police car showed up. Blue and Red flashing lights, sirens, and shouting was becoming faded as he took off from the scene. Thinking that he’d been free from being caught, they came around the corner and chased him into an alleyway. Since Ashton wasn’t one of the people tagging City Hall, they decided to just give him a night in jail. Of course, he ran his mouth to the cop and ended up staying two nights instead. After all that had changed, his own sibling changed as well. Ashton started to spend more and more time away from home (causing chaos when he could) and less time with his younger sister. More and more spoiled, Veronica became a snob as people like to say it. Nose held high and an ego the size of Texas. Ashton just faded into the background while his older and younger sibling did what they could for their parents. With all that stress and trouble he caused his parents, their relationship strained.
