overall history: emma's always been a person to like music, but she never really found her love for it until she started break bones break hearts. emma's mother died during childbirth, she's never known who her father was. the only remaining family she had was her grandmother, who gave her a dog, Lucky, and helped her find one of her cousins, azizi blackwell. it's only been confirmed that her mother is dead, no one knows where her father might be, and if he's even alive. she also was admitted to hospital a few times, due to her being found to have an abnormal heartbeat, which means she has to take pills. she' s also been known to faint due to that.
once emma was sixteen, her grandmother died of a heart attack. she used the money her grandmother had left to her in her will to buy a plane ticket, and using whatever was leftover to create a life for herself in America. she lives in a small apartment in the city, travelling by train each day to school, where she then created (S)aint with a group of friends. they would perform small gigs at wherever they could, until one day, a representative from a recording company went to a gig of theirs and asked the manager of the place for the contact details for the band. the manager was reluctant at first, but once he knew that the guy was a representative he gave him the details. about a week later, emma was called and (S)aint began the long journey to that thing they call fame.
