sarah remembers nothing of her childhood before the age of ten, so nobody knows her actual birth name, she was given the name she has now by her foster parents.

overall history: well, it's hard to say about sarah's life before the age of ten, all we know is her parents were wanted dead. on the run, eventually killed by a truck colliding into their car, causing sarah to forget her past. the only thing she remembers is her first name, sarah. she was adopted by katherine rockhart, and her husband, and given the middle name and last name she has now. she was put through school, and she was good up until high school. she started to rebel against her parents, she'd get detentions, dress differently, at school, she lived a double life. the one thing that was in both her lives was music, and that's the one thing that's gotten her through it all. she eventually got new friends as her old ones got into drugs, drugs have been a thing she has little tolerance for, so it's believed someone in her life had been a drug addict or something of the like.

with these new friends of hers, she created a band, but that band soon ended, because the drummer was a boyfriend of sarah's and yeah, they broke up, so she got some new friends, eventually, and made the decision to drop out of school so she could be with her new band, break bones break hearts, even though she was the backup singer in case the original singer dropped out or something.

and then one night, she got that phone call...
