"Family has always been something really important to me. I love the idea of a family. Like no matter what shit you do... they will still love you. I have always been so in awe of what makes a bond that close. Of course it may take a while depending on what you did for them to regain that same love, but it is all conditional. It is like when you have a rivalry with a sibling through thick and thin... they are going to be there for you. They may return to hating you after all is said and done but that just means they put effort into you and somewhere love you."

"I grew up in a normal family. Parents loved each other, had a nice house, got by well. But when I was fifteen I got into this like really rebellious phase. My dad was a pharmacist so he had access to a lot of things. He owned his own pharmacy so it wasn't like it wouldn't be hard to steal his keys and go to his store and take some. I don't know why I did it, probably because I was a teenager and I just could. Anyways it wasn't long before the company that counted the pills noticed inconsistencies and ultimately my father was to blame for that. He got his license revoked and ultimately had to close his business. He has since then recovered and so have I. Till this day no one knows that is was me. I am just thankful that he never got jail time for it.... because honestly I don't think I would have told anyone."

"I mean they are an interesting bunch of girls. They can get damn right annoying and sometimes I wonder what the hell they are doing. I at times wonder if they are even serious or if this just a little play date for them. I take music seriously and it is very therapeutic for me, but when I see these girls mess up on things it just makes me a little upset. I might be just a complete jackass for thinking like that, but this is something I take very seriously. It also may be a difference in the culture. I was born in Los Angeles and have never been to New Zealand where the band is from. With that said, I do treat the girls like they were like my little sister at home. The big brother syndrome never really leaves you especially when they all remind me of my sister so much."
