HABITS: josh deals with an unfortunate crippling depression, which led him into self-injury many years ago. despite the pleas of his family he has been unable to stop, and has only gotten better at hiding it. not only that but he has a terrible drug habit. he's been on and off harsh dangerous drugs since his youth and claims he's not addicted but clearly is.
STRENGTHS: he's extremely loving and protective, and despite his bad habits he is very selfless. if you are in his life and he cares for you, he does everything he can to ensure that you're always safe, healthy and happy. he also tends to look at things very logically and calmly. it takes a lot to make josh angry and he's more likely to settle a fight than be involved in one.
WEAKNESSES: as mentioned before he deals with a crippling depression and self-mutilation habit that he tries his best to hide, but despite being medicated for it, it can really tear him down some days. also, he's extremely guilty. when he does something wrong, he beats himself up about it for days on end, and is still dealing with the guilt of leaving his family a few years ago.
SECRETS: again, he suffers from clinical depression, self-mutilates, and was abused by his grandfather as a child
OVERALL: on the outside, josh appears to be very happy, outgoing, loving and kind-hearted. he does anything and everything that he can to help the people around him and always puts himself last. although he spends a majority of his time strung out on drugs and partying, he still does his best to make sure that the people he loves are all well taken care of. however, on the inside he's terribly depressed and guilty. he tries to hide how he really feels in most situations, so as not to inconvenience others, and insists to his friends that he's not actually an addict. although he values others' safety, he cars nine for his own. in all honesty he doesn't care if he lives or dies. he's the kind of person who would willingly walk out in front of a moving car just for shits and giggles, not caring what effect it has on him. he seems perfectly fine, and a load of fun to be around, but deep down josh is pretty fucked.

OVERALL: joshua was born 23 years ago to 16 year old chloe whitely and native american father, jacy parker, 22 at the time, in bath, england. right after his birth, not wanting to split the family up, jacy moved josh and chole to reno nevada with the consent of chloe's parents. once in the us they gave birth to three more children, alice now 19, ethan now 17 and mary as of recently. being young parents, chloe and jacy had no clue what they were doing. from josh's earliest years they were not very attentive. because of this, josh grew used to doing what he wanted when he wanted. he often would skip school with hangovers or show up high. by his sophmore year he was hooked on pills.
this was a very dark time for josh. it was up until his father's father passed the end of his 10th grade year that he heavily abused josh saying his parents never did raise him right. with that out of the picture, josh was left bruised scarred and abused turning to self-injury for comfort. luckily enough though, during his junior year he met his girlfriend mallory, who is one of very few people who knows the extent of his past, and willingly accepted him and welcomed into her life, helping to keep him at least a bit grounded. they got together that year and have been an item since then.
however, it was that same year that his parents decided to step in, pressing rehab on him. josh refused mutliple times and when his parents threatened to kick him out if he refused a last him he took the step to moving back to england from nevada to live with his mothers parents.
