Ryan would say he is rather outgoing, yet not overly loud. He knows when to button it, and prefers it this way. He wouldn't say he was reserved nor introverted, just that he does enjoy his own space, as does anyone. He doesn't really like overly loud people or those that gets on his nerves. He has a very tough exterior, and likes to keep it that way. He can be pretty guarded, due to things that had happened when he was younger. He finds emotions as a weakness, and likes to keep them hidden, or even deny them.
It gets to the point in where he will act like a total jerk, because he just does not want to be vulnerable. He does have a habit of being overly blunt, stubborn and hates to be wrong. He really hates being controlled like he had been his whole life by his parents and just wants to do what he wants. He can be a bit of an asshole, only because he is incredibly insecure in himself and does not want to come across as weak. He can across as a bit arrogant, cold when you first meet him..but if you do manage to break down his walls, you will see a different side to him, the lonely, sweet, vulnerable side that only wants to be loved not judged anymore.

OVERALL: Ryan did not have the happiest of upbringings. He was the last child to be born to Claudia and Thomas , after their other two sons had moved out. Ryan was not a wanted child, yet they didn’t feel the need to give him up. Both Claudia and Thomas had had it rough, having Thomas lost his job and Claudia having an affair. They were always arguing, and turned to school to deal with their personal problems, rather than deal with their son. Ryan was a quiet child, but it didn’t stop his parents from giving him grief. They shouted at him alot, controlled him and he was subjected to beatings as they watched.
Ryan was vulnerable, but felt as if he couldn’t do anything. He was only ten years old, and not to mention scared. He was sick of being told he was worthless by his mother, so much so that he casually ran away aged eleven and was put into foster care soon after. He thought his pain was over, but it didn’t stop him from having nightmares or clamming up completely.
He completely withdrew into a shell and tossed aside his old identity. He became more sullen, cynical and put up walls to keep everyone seeing his vulnerability. He didn’t want to be weak anymore, yet he probably became more like his parents than anything. He ran away from his foster home aged fifteen as he wanted to just break way, but that didn’t mean he was happy. Because he still wasn’t, and constantly wondered why he was so worthless, according to his parents.
He hated being alone, but he thought it was best, as he was sick of being hurt. He hated the lack of control, so he became obsessed with wanting to gain it, in some way or form. He was about seventeen when he decided what he wanted to do, join a band. He had loved his music all his life and became a quick distraction to his wandering mind. yet it didn't stop him from being reckless, not when he got a girl pregnant at a party. the girl instantly decided that she didn't want Ryan to get involved with her child's life, and that kind of was a big blow to him. yet, he covered it up so well, even when he heard that he soon had a daughter, seeing her picture only once before never seeing her again. He soon joined a band and tried to forget about his past, and hasn't told anyone about the child he never gets to see.
