'CAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WHENEVER YOU'RE NEAR
OH BABY, YOU MAKE ME JUST WANNA
YOU MAKE ME WANNA PIN YOU DOWN AND TEAR YOU APART

Whoever invented love was a real asshole.
Roxy had never expected to feel anything more than just a regular attraction to Iggy. Sure, he was her boyfriend. They had kept it down low for a bit, mainly because they each wanted someone to be close with. But the more Roxy saw Iggy and hung out with him, the more she started to fall for him.
It scared Roxy, to know that she felt like this. It made her feel.. less than herself. She hated feeling vulnerable. Iggy got to her on an extremely personal level, and it scared Roxy. It took her a long time to trust people. Not that she didn't trust Iggy, but their relationship wasn't to the point where she'd trust him with her life. And what hurt Roxy the most was that Iggy had taken what she had said the wrong way.
"This is exactly why I don't open up to people," she murmured softly to herself as she walked down the secluded gravel path towards the lake. She looked down, her dark black hair covering half of her shirt. Roxy's violet Doc Marten's stood out awkwardly against the bland gravel below them.
And it reaaally really didn't help that Iggy had temporarily forgotten who she was, after he had passed out on a run and hit his head. It wasn't his fault, but it hurt Roxy, so much. Iggy had woken up, not knowing her name or who she was at all. He had thought Luna was still his girlfriend.
What really had Roxy convinced that she was falling for him was that she had gotten him to remember who she was with a simple action; a kiss. It was like something straight out of a fairy tale. Roxy knew that she was starting to feel deeper feelings for Iggy. And it bothered her, because she was scared. Roxy was a normally a very strong person, and this was making her feel like less than that.
The tour was still in California and, living there all her life, Roxy knew Los Angeles and many other cities very well. And this lake was a place that her father and her had frequented quite often on the weekends. It was beautiful; the water was a deep blue, and the grass was a lush green. The slender girl made her way off the trail and over towards the lake, which was surrounded on one side by dozens of flat-surfaced rocks. Roxy walked over, climbing onto the rocks and sat her body down on one that was right near the water.
She bent her knees and rested her arms on top of them, sighing heavily as she looked out at the water. It was a complicated thing, love. "I think Lilly would like this place..." She thought aloud to herself as her eyes gazed over the familiar features of the lake.
